Hi, There!,

Have you ever watched this video? It just takes you 1 min and a half, it's really worthwhile and it makes you reflect on clothes bargains, are workers' salaries  fair? Sometimes, are employees underpaid? See what happens when people are offered to buy a buy a t-shirt for only 2 euros? Will they buy it? or instead, will they donate the money? It's impossible to be indifferent ;)

The Art of Croche and Knit

HI, There!,

London
Have you ever heard about YARN BOMBING

Well, this is a new fashionable form of Street Art! Many people who love croching and knitting decorate public places with their colourful works, as you can see in these pictures. What do you think? Do you like this work of Art?

New York city

This recent street art is said to have begun in 2005, when the artist Magda Sayed knitted a cozy for the door handle of her Houston boutique, it has been spread around the world since then. So, many ephemeral works of art decorate and cover subways, metro seats, lamposts, sidewalk cracks, bikes, cars, statues, etc.  However, the yarn bombers usually do this at night, becuase it is illegal.

One of the most famous yarn bombers is an American woman. She worked as a professional textile artist and she is graduated from California College of the Arts. The first time she saw yarn bombing, she was delighted, she thought it was beautiful, funny, surprising ... she loved this anonymous art and she decided to call herself "Streetcolor", then she started decorating her home ....

By the way, last 4th November, many knitters and crocheters were invited by the mentioned artist Streetcolor to gather on Oak Plaza to mark the occasion of a museum yarn bombing.

I hope you'll find this post interesting and entertaining! I love creativity and art!
To my grandma and my aunt who love croching and knitting, they've made me lots of wonderful works of art!!!;)

WalKinG BaReFooT, a New TreND!!!

Hi, there!,

How do you feel if you have to walk barefoot everyday? But if you can choose... and if it's a new trend... would you like to walk without your shoes?

In these days, many celebrities, such as Nicole Kidman, and famous singers such as Shakira, Kelly Clarkson usually appear on stage without shoes. We can understand that many times, you can feel better barefoot rather than wearing high heels, but why do they like barefoot at the premieres, parties, etc? Just because it is more fashionable or comfortable?

I'd like to believe that these celebrities do so because they are imitating Jonas Brothers, who months ago, promoted "One Day Without Shoes" to make people aware of the difficulty of performing everyday tasks without proper footwear.

Thanks a lot, Cristine!**

Conchita, 3 decades opposite the WHITEHOUSE

Hi, there!,

Have you ever known about Conchita Martín in Washington DC? She is actually an anti-nuclear protester and she has been protesting opposite The White House since 1981. She can speak several languages, specially Spanish and English. She is from the North of Spain, Vigo (La Coruña), she got married with an American and they had a daughter. Some years later, she was abandoned by her husband and daughter. From that moment onwards, she started protesting opposite the White House. Conchita has a special tent, some food and that's all. She never celebrates Christmas, goes on holidays, ... she's actually a bit crazy, but really kind with tourists, specially with Spanish. If you go there, you can talk to her, she will show you some propaganda papers, she strongly defends her beliefs. Obviously, Conchita is respected and has met every president of the United States, as a matter of fact, she is the president's neighbour.
Now, I encourage you to watch these videos, you'll see and understand Conchita better.
